1. Machame Route – Whiskey Route
Duration: 6–7 Days | Accommodation: Camping
The Machame Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southern side and is known for its beautiful landscapes and varied terrain. The trek passes through lush rainforest, the Shira Plateau, dramatic valleys, and the famous Barranco Wall. Its climb-high, sleep-low itinerary provides opportunities for acclimatization, making it a popular option for trekkers seeking a scenic and adventurous climb.

2. Lemosho Route – Scenic Western Route

It is suitable for trekkers who prefer hut accommodation, while the six-day itinerary provides an additional acclimatization day.

4. Rongai Route – Northern Approach
